I am a touring musician that plays in Appleton a few times a year. HJ in Appleton is the perfect place to stay! Hot tub and pool is the perfect size. The rooms are nice. The staff is friendly.

10/10 would not recommend. 3 of my friends and stayed there for 5 nights for country USA. When we first arrived, we were charged $100 extra for extra people in the room. Even though we had 4 people on the reservation. That would have been nice to know. The room had no dead bolt. One night at 3 am someone tried to get into our window. Our screen was off the next day. We went to the guy in the lobby and he said Ive been watching the cameras, that didnt happen maybe that would have worked, but he was sitting on the couch in the lobby watching tv, so he was definitely not watching the camera. The pool was nasty and green. When we went to the front desk to ask for a blanket, they told us there would be a $10 charge, when we asked a different employee, she said there was no charge. Housekeeping came into our room while we were all sleeping and insisted he had to clean the bathroom. We told him we didnt need it clean, but he insisted. We let him and when we went into the bathroom, nothing was done, but he spent 10 minutes in there. There were things missing in our room every night when we came back to the hotel. The whole time we were there we felt unsafe. The only reason I gave it one star was because one lady at the front desk was very nice to us. Go anywhere else if possible.

Was very nice the rooms are recently remodeled and look very nice now. Have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Staff always very helpful, have had early departure times and they've opened the breakfast early so I could get something to eat.

First off the picture on the website is not a picture of the hotel. the hotel is very ran down with broken windows, non-locking windows , and AC and heaters that are loud and barely work. dust and stain carpet everywhere. The room that I had for a week came with a great view of stained mattresses in the courtyard . window screen that was completely off the window and a shower I did not work properly. It took three to four hours for them to find the rest of the furniture that was supposed to be in the room. broken light fixtures, light bulbs that were out, knobs that were missing for lights. black mold and rust all over the bathroom. a toilet that was not secured to the floor. flat sheets instead of fitted sheets on the bed. when I first got into my room I had to put the cover back on the AC. it took an hour for me to be checked in because there was one person ahead of me. I was told by the front desk that it does not matter what rooms you reserve it is first come first serve so I could not get the room that I did Reserve. unfortunately I booked the room through Expedia. so upon seeing conditions of the hotel and the room I was informed that my money had already been taken and it was non-refundable even though I could not get the room that I reserved. the hotel in the pictures was not the hotel that I was staying at. I will never book another room through Expedia again. this is a hotel that is better to stay away from! it is sad that chain hotels like this go unchecked by the Corporation. Wyndham should be ashamed that they even have their name on this sad excuse for a hotel.

Outdated/dingy carpet and curtains. Stayed 3 nights, ran out of towels and toilet paper, ha dr ask for maid service. Hot water went out 2 days straight, so cold showers if you wanted to wash up. The tub drain clogged up during my cold shower, so ....When we first checked in, the front desk was rude and acted like we were more of a bother than anything else. One section of the hotel was under construction, so right outside our door was construction materials/tools and the workers who I guess are staying in the hotel too, stayed outside well past midnight cooking on a grill, playing music and drinking. None of the drink vending machines were in use, so better bring some from elsewhere. We ordered a roll away bed for our son (at $10 a night), no blanket, no pillow.... We could have went camping for the type of do it yourself service we received.
